today is my 33rd birthday and I said, out loud, so vehemently that a random person on the train gave me a concerned look: "I am an interesting person, damn it!"

I've been cooking and food prepping so so so much making freezer meals and saving money and I've had it i want Panda Express soooooooo bad but there's food in the fridge i could cook easily there's food in the fridge but i want it and i want it so bad if i don't get bad orange chicken I'll die I'll really really die but i can't i shouldn't but i must

lmao i have a call with a wedding venue coordinator tomorrow?? lots of things about this place are appealing but it also has a massively overpriced mandatory caterer and a very late event start time (who has the ceremony start at 6:30pm?? don't people want dinner????) so i kind of just wanted, you know, a quote and contact info in case we wanted to tour later if other things don't pan out. but the person who reached out to me was so confident that we were going to call this week that i guess... i'm going to call her? and ask about chair rental prices or something? idk man. i wasn't prepared for this. i'm not even the one primarily planning this wedding and also we're not even planning yet i just had time to send idle emails this week

#frankly i reached out because i assumed they were going to be fully booked for all of next year and i could just write them off #and stop thinking about it #but instead. they have like all of next year available because no one gets married on a sunday #also their wildly overpriced caterer DOESN'T EVEN LIST VEG/VEGAN ENTREES on the default menu #who? in this day and age? in the most important american city? doesn't have at least have a reasonable vegan option??#it does have a lot of other appealing qualities. but. well. my god #and see now i want to get other quotes to figure out if the food really is as appallingly overpriced as i think it is #but i'm terrified that if i start reaching out to people they'll ALSO want me to call them. on the phone!!#box opener #........ok for real i'm going to make either a wedding sideblog or at least some kind of quarantining tag. comment to vote on which option #will better preserve what remains of your respect for me.

#invaluable item: bowl-sized soup pot #well it should be about 2x the size of what you'd eat in a bowl of soup to allow stirring room #food #u make ur ramen in there while frying up the eggs that go on top #get water to a boil and add ramen flavor packets #once it's at a simmer heat up ur frying pan #eggs should hit the hot pan around the same time as ramen hits the boiling water #then turn off the ramen heat and cover #by the time you're done cooking the eggs how you like (i prefer over medium) the ramen should be done #so u can slide the eggs on top #if you have bok choy or any quick-cook veg slide it in between the ramen and the egg #itll blanch by the time you bring the pot over to ur desk #god i made these tags long oops

cycle of i buy produce -> i eat produce -> i go back to store -> everytime i go back price is now 5% higher

#idk how yalls grocery stores are behaving today but i feel like produce costs the most out of everything i buy #like per pound meat is more expensive for sure but per calorie produce is CRAZY #like im rlly bad at getting enough fruit/veg (probably only 20-30% of my diet) because its just so damn expensive #its especially depressing because its half the price back in BC but yet here i am. asscrack of canada #when i go to the farmers market and they selling imported BC fruit for an insane markup.... i want to kick bite scream etc etc
