I wish that the canon hasn’t set Sanji up to be such a perfect cook, I wish he was shown to make mistakes while cooking or doing knife work.

Something about him not so discreetly wringing his hands as he presents a new dish to the crew or holds his arm out under tap water bc he bumped into a hot pan or smth. He treats his cuts and burns swiftly and doesn’t say anything because it’s just part of the job. It’s his fault for being careless anyway..

I need him to be weird and nervous about how seriously he takes feeding the Straw Hats and maybe have him stressing over how he’s going to stretch their last stores of food without letting any of them know it’s bc he miscalculated his inventory (it’s his job, feeding them is his responsibility, how could he mess it up that badly. Now unless he can get them to fish something up, they won’t have meat to eat for another two days until they make it to the next island. How, how, how-)

Breathing a sigh of relief when plates are returned scraped clean and quietly noting when one person or another seems to tuck into things with less gusto than usual (their dislikes are rare and far in between but Usopp picking the parts without mushrooms didn’t escape his notice).
